Integrated OB-Gyn Services offers abortion services from very early gestation to 26 weeks LMP (last known menstrual period). If you are nine weeks or less from your last normal period, you will have the option of choosing either a non-surgical or a surgical abortion. If you are less than 12 weeks from your LMP (last menstrual period) you can choose from either local anesthesia, oral (by mouth) sedation, or twilight anesthesia. If you are between 13 and 20 weeks, all procedures include twilight sedation and will not be offered under simple local anesthesia because these second trimester procedures are more involved, risky, and painful. If you are above 20 weeks, the procedure will always be a 2 – 3 day procedure and will be completely discussed with you at the time of your appointment.
As part of our services, all necessary laboratory testing, physical examination, and an ultrasound procedure will be performed to evaluate your condition and the gestational age of your pregnancy as the gestational age determines the fee for services. As our patient, we will discuss your individual options, detail information on the procedures available to you and you will have time to discuss your feelings. We offer pre and post op abortion counseling. While in our facility, you will receive supportive and friendly care by our experienced staff and physicians.
We offer a non-surgical abortion, which is the "Abortion Pill" is taken in the office, followed by 4 pills; 24 hours later. You will return home to rest where the expulsion will take place in a more natural and private manner.
We offer early surgical abortion, which is completed by two methods. The first method is by injections around the cervix to make the procedure less painful, you will remain completely awake and aware of the procedure and you will feel pressure and some discomfort during the procedure. The second and most preferred method is called "Twilight Conscious Sedation". This method is requested by most patients as it allows the patient to be unaware of the pain and discomfort during the procedure. For all methods of termination, you will need to have someone drive and pick you up after the procedure. We ask that you do not bring children into the waiting room. An abortion procedure requires you to NOT eat, drink, smoke or chew candy or gum 8 hours prior to the procedure. It is imperative that you adhere to those guidelines for your health and safety reasons.
Prices for abortion services are determined by the gestational age. Examples are:
11 to 12 weeks = $275 (local anesthesia) $500 (abortion pill) $350 (twilight sedation)
10 weeks and under = $ 250 (local anesthesia)
If you are between 13 and 26 weeks, all procedures are completed under twilight sedation only and prices range from $400. To $5000. We do not accept checks or credit card payments. Please note: These prices are quoted for the Forestville Office only.
